To synthesize an image by stitching together small patches of existing images. The way of synthesis used in our project is called image quilting. It produces good results for most textures.
To render a 3D scene using OpenGL and map the synthesized textures onto the objects in the scene. This is one of the applications of texture synthesis.
To implement texture transfer, i.e., to render an object with a texture from a different object, if time allows.
